Hello, there! I am a former teacher who is now exclusively tutoring. I have been teaching since 2013, but tutoring since 2004. I turned from teaching to tutoring because I was increasingly frustrated with the inability to help a student who is struggling during class time, especially when I saw how much individualized help they needed. I cannot stop everything and postpone the lesson and everyone else's learning to help a student one-on-one, but I can give them the attention they need after class. When I was about 5 months pregnant, I chose to do this exclusively as opposed to being in the classroom all day. I want to make a difference in kids' lives. Nothing warms my heart more than to see a child experience that "ah-hah!" moment or when they tell me, "I hated history before, but you made it so fun. Now I love history because of you!" I tutor ELA, math up to Algebra 2, Spanish, history, and even teach voice. (I am a singer, Music teacher, and I also taught Choir for 3 years).
