I have over 20 years of experience in tutoring at both the high school and collegiate levels in the fields of math, science, and business. I have taught both business and chemistry courses at the high school and Division II collegiate levels in the state of Texas. I have a BS in Chemistry and an MBA with an emphasis in Production & Operations Management. I'm very skilled at "dumbing the material down" which means we will spend less time on the concepts and more time on the application and practice/problems - this is how we will achieve success together and we will do it in a smaller time frame, saving you frustration and money!
I absolutely love math and science, especially chemistry! That short moment of time that I get to experience - where the "light bulb comes on" and you finally get it - is exactly why I love doing this!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Determine their overall needs and ensure that I'm the best fit for them...if I'm not, I will spend my time guiding them to the best possible option. Moving forward includes discussing expectations from both parties, setting agreed fees, and then getting to know one another before jumping into the material.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
High school and collegiate tutoring for 20+ years, as well as teaching at both levels in the state of Texas.

My average fees are $25/hr (negotiable)
How did you get started teaching?
I found that in my freshman college chemistry course I was not only at the top of my class, but I was really good at explaining the material to my classmates...this began the love affair in education.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Don't stop looking for that one tutor who's perfect for you...he/she will make you comfortable and have you understanding the material quickly and confidently. Don't waste your hard earned money on someone unless they are the best
