Hi! I am a recent high school graduate from the Greenhill School. I graduated on the honor roll and with AP distinctions. I also competed in speech and debate and did theatre throughout high school, earning various awards, so I am very versed in public speaking. I've worked with kids in various camps and tutored them before, and I love working with children and helping them learn! I am good at being patient and concise in material to make it easier for my students to work with. I would love to work with parents and students to ensure that their child is getting what they need from me!

After 30 years in media production, I changed careers and became a classroom teacher through an alternative certification program in Texas. I hold these certifications currently: Generalist 4-8, Social Studies 8-12, Journalism 7-12, and ESL Supplemental 4-12. I recently retired from the classroom, but want to continue my ties to education. The bulk of my classroom experience is with students that have learning differences such as ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and executive functioning difficulties. I have specialized in working with students on an individual basis and delivering instructions based on their learning styles.

I pretty much breathe English. I've been writing seriously since middle school, and I've won a number of writing contests over the years. In May 2019 I graduated from the University of North Texas with a BA in English and a concentration in creative writing. I particularly enjoy revising/editing stories and essays but can also help with Literary Analysis, Composition, etc as well as most standardized tests and middle school/high school subjects.
