Hi! My name is Alli and I've been tutoring for the past 8 years. I enjoy working through math problems with students and helping them become more fluent in the things they are learning. I believe the best way to learn is by practicing, so I typically spend a lot of time working through practice problems with my students.

With 5 years of teaching experience, I focus on helping students gain a conceptual understanding of the mathematical objects they encounter rather than the usual mechanical approach taught in schools. For my teaching efforts, I was awarded a Teaching Excellence Award from Iowa State University during my time in graduate school. The best feeling in the world is when a student finally gets over their fear of mathematics and starts enjoying it for the first time.
