    At Wise Science Tutoring the experience is like no other. The tutors really care about their students and will go above and beyond for them. The first time I had tutored with Jenny I was taking anatomy and physiology one and I was very concerned about not being successful in that class. In the end I finished both Anatomy one and two with an A. She spent countless hours with me to make sure I understood the material. I am now in my second year of college and I am using Wise Science Tutoring for introduction to chemistry. Considering I am not the best at formulas and mathematical equations I always end my tutoring session with Jenny or Alyssa getting the clarification that I need. Going here has made my learning experience enjoyable and fun. When you go to Wise Science Tutoring they present the material to you in various considering every student learns differently.

    Jenny worked with my nephew and provided him with tools and tricks to help him learn to count by 5s, learned some phonics, and practiced handwriting. She was able to engage with him and make him giggle while he was learning. He learned more with her than he learned the whole day in the online classes. She gave us videos to watch after our appointment to keep practicing. We are definitely going to hire her again.

    Frequently asked questions

    We like to get to know our students. First, we ask what their tutoring goals are, what they are working on in class, and what have been some challenges they have come across so far. Then we make a plan on how to tackle their goals moving ahead. Our experience has shown us that every student's needs are different, so we make sure that every student gets a personalized, tailored experience.

    We meet via Zoom weekly - how many times a week will be determined during the free consultation meeting. Each tutoring session is followed up with an email from the tutor summarizing the session. Usually, the tutor will also add additional resources to help the student finish assignments and/or study for tests.

    The founder of Wise Science Tutoring, Jenny, has 15 years of science tutoring and study skill coaching experience at the college level. Jenny has experience as a tutor trainer and is certified by the College Learning and Reading Association as a Level III (Master) Tutor.

    Pricing is based on the student's needs.  The price given on the estimate is just that, an estimate. Per hour rates will be discussed during the free consultation.

    We work with high school and college-level science students in anatomy, biology, chemistry, and microbiology. We have worked with Advanced Placement (AP) high school science students. 

    Jenny has worked with students with difficulty with executive functions (EF) but is not certified in that area.
