I am a former high school science teacher. I taught 6 years of high school science including AP Chemistry, Anatomy & Physiology, Physics, Biology, Scientific Research & Design, and Earth and Space Science.

I am passionate about increasing science literacy, as I believe it is a critical component to a more thoughtful, compassionate, and successful society. I am also a total science nerd, and I love to share the joy of science with my students. At the heart of all science is the core skill of problem-solving. Learning how to approach new challenges is fun and exciting, though it may at times be difficult. Together we celebrate our successes and learn from our failures. That sense of accomplishment and growth, both of individual students and of the whole group, is my favorite part of teaching.
