About

Hi,

I’m Johnny!

Contact me as much as you need and I’m happy to help! I would love to call or text so you can see what kind of tutoring is right for you, if it’s someone like me, then let's get to work, but first and foremost, let's find out exactly what kind of tutor you should be looking for!

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Alabama in 3 semesters while studying to take the LSAT. I scored a 167 the first time I took the LSAT and self studied my way to a 179 on my next test. I have been an academic and test prep tutor for several years and since applying and being accepted into Harvard Law School - while working closely with a Spivey Consultant (the best Law School Admission Consulting in the business) - I work helping students get their best scores and into the schools of their dreams.

For me, tutoring is a passion. At first glance, the LSAT is an intimidating and convoluted beast, but I help my students tame it by teaching them how the test makers think and by personalizing my style to fit their particular strengths.

I am incredibly flexible with scheduling and will work with your busy schedule. I typically work with high achievers to squeeze out those last few points to perfection but I am more than happy to start from any point you’re at in the process. My students usually describe me as understanding, caring, and fun, and if you’re unsure where to start, I’ll help you each step of the way!

Afterall, I want the same thing as you - the best possible outcome for your testing and application cycle. I know how scary of a process you’re either in or are soon to start. It wasn’t long ago I was securing a full-ride scholarship for undergrad or obsessing and checking r/lawschooladmissions on reddit, but together we can tackle the intimidation and come out on top of the application cycle.

First and foremost, I’m empathetic and understanding. I understand how scary timed math sections can be, but I firmly believe that anyone - with the right techniques and practice - can perfect this section. I teach both the foundational work from pre-algebra to trigonometry required for these tests as well as test taking techniques that lead you to the right answer faster. I received a 36 on the official act and under simulated conditions can complete the math sections with 10 minutes to spare. Let’s get you an amazing score.

I'll share the secret to ACT Science right here: reading fast and reading graphs. While I had to study to perfect the other sections, I have always aced the science section and I have been tutoring it since my sophomore year in high-school. By breaking down the passages and practicing different kinds of graphs methodically, we'll get you a perfect score. A recent student went from being unable to finish the science section and giving up to acing it perfectly on the official ACT.

I scored a 179 on the official LSAT and was accepted into Harvard Law School in 2021 at 19 years old (I am now 21). Additionally, I got my official score only a year and a half ago - unlike many of my peer tutors, I didn’t take the LSAT decades ago - my knowledge and skills in tutoring are fresh and my teaching methods are compatible with you.

I've helped friends and students improve their points by as much as 20 points and I’m happy to give advice on how to apply to top schools. For a discounted rate I also help develop and refine applications from helping pick out perfect fit schools, to personal statement brainstorming, to resume editing.

Whether you’re a student looking to eek out the last first points to perfection, or just starting off your LSAT journey, we’ll work together to unlock your max potential.

ohnny was incredibly helpful. I felt like I was in a stump with my personal statement, and Johnny really helped give what I already had on paper a proper direction and flow. He also helped show me what schools want in the statements, and the most effective way to get there. I would definitley recommend Johnny to anyone who needs help with their statements, and if I get a tutor for the LSAT it will be Johnny. If he can tutor the LSAT as well as he can improve writing then that will be exceptional as well.
