In May 2019 I graduated from the University of North Texas with a BA in English and a concentration in creative writing. Hi! I am a recent high school graduate from the Greenhill School. I graduated on the honor roll and with AP distinctions. I also competed in speech and debate and did theatre throughout high school, earning various awards, so I am very versed in public speaking. I've worked with kids in various camps and tutored them before, and I love working with children and helping them learn! I am good at being patient and concise in material to make it easier for my students to work with. After 30 years in media production, I changed careers and became a classroom teacher through an alternative certification program in Texas. I hold these certifications currently: Generalist 4-8, Social Studies 8-12, Journalism 7-12, and ESL Supplemental 4-12. I recently retired from the classroom, but want to continue my ties to education. The bulk of my classroom experience is with students that have learning differences such as ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and executive functioning difficulties.
