With well over a decade of experience teaching and tutoring a variety of subjects and age ranges, I have honed my ability to explain complex subject matter in a way that makes sense. I am a certified teacher, qualified to teach upper-level math, physical science, engineering, social studies, speech, and argumentation. After 30 years in media production, I changed careers and became a classroom teacher through an alternative certification program in Texas. I hold these certifications currently: Generalist 4-8, Social Studies 8-12, Journalism 7-12, and ESL Supplemental 4-12. I recently retired from the classroom, but want to continue my ties to education. The bulk of my classroom experience is with students that have learning differences such as ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and executive functioning difficulties. I have specialized in working with students on an individual basis and delivering instructions based on their learning styles.

During my career, I have worked with students of various ages, from pre-k to 12th grade.
