Whatever subject I may be tutoring, I stress cognitive thinking i.e. creativity. I started tutoring when I was in graduate school back in the late 70's. Since that time I have tutored occasinally for the children of friends upon request. Since I am about to retire, I would like to devote more to tutoring. I have been an adjunct professor of Oral Communication for the University of Memphis since 2000.
Seeing the "light bulb" go off over a student's head when they at long last "get it"! Nothing is more rewarding to me as an educator.
