Great Homework Help
About
I love helping kids feel like they are accomplishing goals and overcoming obstacles they didn't think they previously could.
I know that patience and motivation are very important.
Growing up, it was hard for me to accept the fact that sometimes I didn't fully understand something I had just learned. I always wanted to be the best I could be and I had several tutors who helped me reach that point. From helping family and friends, I realized how rewarding the small things are. When things "click", you can see the excitement and that is what motivates me to help.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First and foremost, I always want a student to feel comfortable with having a tutor. It can be hard for some to accept extra help; however, it is important that they know that they are still just as smart as the "best" student in the class.
Once we've settled in, I'll do an overview of where they think they may be struggling and then develop a target for each week. These targets may be small, but it's better to build little by little than to force a lot at once.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree from Clemson University in economics. I have strong basic math, reading and writing skills that will greatly benefit younger kids.
