I am a physics professor at a college with a Ph.D. in Physics. For over ten years, I have been tutoring college and high school students in physics and math. I believe active engagement is the most effective way to learn physics and math. My highly interactive teaching approach focuses on hands-on problem-solving and conceptual understanding. I tailor my teaching methods to meet each student’s individual needs.

I'm a recent high school graduate and I was always the kid who could explain the material when my classmates didn't understand the teacher. I often led study sessions to prepare for tests. I'll give you the help you need depending on your learning style and goals: I'm passionate about learning and always place emphasis on a deeper, intuitive understanding of the material, but as a student myself I have an instinct for what to study when cramming, too. I finished high school with a 4.21 GPA and I scored a 1570 on the SAT my first try. I'm going to major in Music Education and Computer Science at UMass Amherst in the fall.

My name is Avery. I am a highschool Junior in Warwick, Rhode Island. I was a member of my National Junior Honor Society in middle school, and am on track to be in the Honor Society at my current school as well. I have tutored kids in math for a few years, and would love to continue.
