Hi! My name is Jess and I am a current student at Rhode Island College pursuing my Masters in English and literature. I am passionate about helping young minds reach their goals. I am skilled in helping students develop their reading comprehension skills, how to write academic papers, grammar, spelling, or any general English assignment/class or literacy skills they may be struggling with.

When I think about my role as a teacher, the one thing that I constantly have focused on is the relationships that I have built with my students. I have been a high school English teacher in Providence, Rhode Island for the past eight years and substitute taught for two years prior. I have also tutored students over the years with a focus on essay writing, test prep, and analyzing literature. Every career requires some level of reading and writing.
