I have been a teacher for 13 years in the state of Pa. My background is Elementary Education, Special Education, and Reading. I have been teaching reading for the last 10 years. I have also been a tutor for the last few years, working with students one-on-one virtually and in-person. I have taught all grade levels from early childhood, elementary, middle, high school and college. I like to get to know my students’ interests, as well as their academic strengths and weaknesses. I offer direct, explicit instruction and modify all lessons to accommodate students’ individual needs. My goal is to engage students in learning to help them to develop

I’m an Assistant Teaching Professor at Penn State University (University Park). I teach English and American Studies. I’ve taught students of various ages. I’ve tutored English to international students. I’ve taught ESL courses as well. I’ve tutored high school students and often help high school graduates with their admission essays. My undergraduation and master’s degree are in English Literature. My Ph.D. is in American Studies from Penn State University. I’ve been teaching at Penn State for the last 10 years.
