How did you get started teaching?
I was asked to be a TA after my freshman year in college and was a TA and laboratory tech for the chemistry department for 3 years of my undergraduate carreer. I enjoyed it so much I changed from Pre Med to Chemistry as my major and then went on to get a Ph.D. in Chemistry in with the express purpose of teaching at the college level.
What types of students have you worked with?
I successfly worked with students at all levels of chemical inquiry from reluctant particapants in a general education class to enthusiastic seniors in seminar classes.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
be looking more for understanding than a grade in a course. in the course of seeking understanding you will find success in the grade area as well.

Think about what your goals are for the course
