I am deeply passionate about helping elementary and middle school students build strong, lasting confidence in mathematics. I love breaking down challenging concepts into clear, approachable steps and creating an encouraging environment where students feel supported, capable, and excited to learn. My goal is to set every student up for long‑term success by strengthening their foundational skills and helping them discover that math can be both understandable and enjoyable. I have a strong engineering background with Bachelors and Masters degrees from University of Texas, Austin.

Having a graduate degree in Arts and Teaching and seven years of teaching experience at both the middle and high school level provides me with a large tool box of strategies to help it click and connect for the student. I have tutored all subjects with a great deal of success, and improved SBAC scores by over two full points for students. I have also worked with many students with learning disabilities as well as students on the spectrum. I am a graduate of Loyola University of New Orleans and a past member of Toastmasters International for 20 years. As the founder and 1st president of my Toastmasters club, I have served as a mentor to over 75 students. My undergraduate and graduate education in Music Therapy has enabled me to work with students of all ages and abilities attending Elementary, High School, and College. My Master's Music Therapy Curriculum focused on educational and therapeutic outreach for students who have been described as "Difficult to reach Youth".
