I have been an English teacher and school counselor for nearly 40 years. I have also worked with college students and professional educators. I love educcation and working with young people, not to speak of the love for my subject area. I enjoy working with young people and more so when I can see that "light bulb" go on in their understanding of what they seemed to be confused about! In other words=When they "get it"!

Hi! I'm Heather. I am currently tutoring in person sessions in the evenings and can do virtually during the day. I taught 3rd grade for 10 years in Cleveland, Ohio. I have a bachelor's degree in early childhood education with an ohio education license in prek-3 grade and a Master's degree in reading and literacy. My Master's degree allows me to teach any grades involving reading. I typically meet 1 hour a week, unless parents request more sessions. I prefer to meet in person for younger children, as they need the hands on approach, but I do meet virtually as well! I look forward to hearing from you.
