Hello my name is Sofia. I am currently a junior at Kent State University studying Psychology and Pre-Law. I was born in Puerto Rico and lived there until 2016. I grew up speaking Spanish and got a Spanish education until the end of middle school. With that said, once I moved to the United States and perfected my English, I began helping classmates in their Spanish classes. I am also the oldest of eight siblings, and I have helped each one of them with homework for as long as I can remember. Working with various age groups has exposed me to diverse learning styles, which I believe is extremely important. Growing up with eight siblings revealed

I am a graduate level researcher who specializes in political science and history. I completed my B.A. at Ohio University and continued on to attend Johns Hopkins University for graduate studies. I have experience working with ages 5-60 on a variety of subjects including elementary education, career prep, college admissions, English as a second language, reading and literature, beginner’s Spanish, and more. My goal is to meet you where you are, design a lesson plan that utilizes your preferred learning style(s), and focus on confidence within the desired subject.
