Although teaching mathematics is a challenging task, I try to educate my students at a deep level of understanding and attempt to show my students how captivating mathematics can be, while focusing on reaching students of all backgrounds and learning styles. I believe the goal should be to impart a deep understanding of the course material that allows my students to apply the mathematics they have learned to succeed in subsequent math courses. I got my PhD from Purdue University and have experience in teaching Math for more than 30 years. Most of my students I tutored previously achieved excellent results.

I am a degreed engineering and math major and have tutored middle school -12, as well as taught electronics at the college level. I can tutor in any subject, especially cumulative assessment exams, and prep exams, but I have a passion for math and science subjects. Hi! I'm Heather. I am currently tutoring in person sessions in the evenings and can do virtually during the day. I taught 3rd grade for 10 years in Cleveland, Ohio. I have a bachelor's degree in early childhood education with an ohio education license in prek-3 grade and a Master's degree in reading and literacy. My Master's degree allows me to teach any grades involving reading. I typically meet 1 hour a week, unless parents request more sessions.
