I am a hard working teacher and tutor. I have a lot of experience teaching children with special needs. For basic reading skills I prefer a heavy phonics based system. The Curriculum I use is Recipe for reading. I enjoy. In math I like to bring every student into the realm of concrete reality. EG, I rely heavily on manipulative and illustrations to teach specific skills. How I teach writing differs depending on where the student is currently at. At the lower ranges, I focus more on spelling using phonics based strategies. My more advanced students learn more about grammar, structure, and writing compelling arguments.

I am a science teacher and have been teaching the past ten years. I teach primarily Bio and Ap Bio, but I also have numerous years of experience teaching Chemistry, Physical Science, and Marine Science. Hello as a college junior. I have a ton of reading and writing skills. I took AP language and AP literature in high school. during my time in college, I became a Theatre and Anthropology major. So learning history, performances, and public speaking is right up my alley. In the spring semester of 2024, I took a Shakespeare class where we had to dissect a scene from one of his plays and be able to perform his work. Being a tutor would be a great experience for me and the students so that we can learn with our surroundings; by being more excited for what our young minds are learning.
