I love seeing students enjoy what they are doing. I also love seeing kids have fun reading with me, when working with them we laugh and have fun.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student, I first get to know them as a person. Then we do a few assessments together. Then we start our lessons. Those lesson include games and hands on activities.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a undergraduate degree in Elementary education and a masters in Reading education from Ohio University.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I am starting in-person lessons at $50. Online lessons at $45. These prices include lesson planning time.
How did you get started teaching?
I have always wanted to be a teacher. It is my lifelong passion.
What types of students have you worked with?
In my teaching career I have taught pre-k to 6th. In the last 5 years my focus has been on K-3rd grades.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for a teacher that is excited about what they are teaching and is having fun with their students. If they are having fun you will be having fun.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Make sure you are up front with questions, so the teacher can really help.
