Although teaching mathematics is a challenging task, I try to educate my students at a deep level of understanding and attempt to show my students how captivating mathematics can be, while focusing on reaching students of all backgrounds and learning styles. I believe the goal should be to impart a deep understanding of the course material that allows my students to apply the mathematics they have learned to succeed in subsequent math courses. I got my PhD from Purdue University and have experience in teaching Math for more than 30 years. Most of my students I tutored previously achieved excellent results.

I worked as a high school math teacher for 9 years. I am OH licensed Math 7-12, Psychology 7-12, and School Counselor K-12. I have been a high school counselor for 17 years. I have done high school tutoring through out the years up to Honors Algebra 2, Trigonometry, and basic Precalculus. My own children are 14, 18, and 21.

As a current college student in University of Akron, I'm currently pursuing a degree in Actuarial Science. I have always been above the standarts in mathematics and since middle school I tutored for free for my friends. Now, I want to turn this into a part-time job to gain professional experience. All K-12 materials is still quite relevant and fresh in my mind. I can work with a variety of ages, from kindergarten all the way to seniors in high school.
