Miles Smart tutoring is wonderful. They have a consultation to see what your need are and they match you with a tutor that they feel fits the student. They give multiple check-ins to see how you like the tutor, how things are going, and ask your opinions. They really listen. The Tutor Thomas Chicas and my son immediately had a great connection. Thomas was very patient and was such a great help with preparing for tests, exams, and homework. Thomas thoroughly gave detailed explanations when there were things that my son did not understand in Calculus and Physics. I am so glad I have such a good tutor for my son's next three years of college. I feel a sigh of relief now. Many students give up on school because they do not have the support they need. I went from getting multiple calls from my son being stressed out and defeated to now feeling confidant about his classes and looking forward to the next semesters. Chris is a great guy, and an even better tutor. I’ve never had a tutor who was even in the same league as Chris when it comes to Teaching ability, communication skills, and mastery of mathematical subject matter. When I first enlisted Chris I had failed Calculus 1 four times and he helped me at the very end and I still failed but I started to understand what was going on. Brady I passed Calc 1 for the first time that summer one he could prepare and I got a B. Next he helped me with Calc 2 and I did so well I didn’t even need to take the final exam to pass the class and got a B! Next I passed Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations with his help during a global Pandemic! Chris is not perfect by any means, but he is the best. This was done at Penn State University by the way and was not easy but Chris made it possible and I will always be incredibly grateful for his hard work and determination. This guy is doing this for more than just the money, and derives real joy from helping other people learn and better themselves.

DAN = EXCEPTIONAL in every way. Best experience I could've had with a tutor. He worked with me for a solid six months, elevating my composite SAT score from 1250 to 1510! His approach is super unique, and it's unlike any other tutor or rigid commercial course. Dan actually spent a year writing SAT items across all exam sections in 2020 - as a part-time fill in for the College Board. So he offers a way of viewing the exam, from how concept mastery to application to strategy (learning to naturally see/spot how the exam writers attempt to throw students off) all in this gradual process in which, if you follow his lead but also remain interactive and vocal with him about absolutely anything, you will feel the progress begin to take shape. It took me 6 months with him, and we met consistently. I opted to focus only on the Reading/WL until the end, when I asked he provide some general tips for the math (which were super helpful and certainly assisted with me adding last minute points to a math score I already felt was strong enough. My weaknesses really were in the Reading/WL. If you get the chance to invest time with him, you'll see how he is not rigid in just thinking everyone learns the same way. He actively draws from top-notch resources, College Board exams, and much more to create a learning experience in which he discovers how you as the learner will not memorize. Instead, you'll internalize. And then begin to see how the SAT presents the concepts, how to efficiently and effectively deal with them, and see the exam as not something to fear but something to enter and destroy!
