Performin' With Morgan
About
Hi! My name is Morgan and I'm so excited to work with you. I love working with kids and I am currently applying to get my Master's in Early Childhood Education.
I like to bring my theater background and training to the classroom. I use improv to build confidence, memorize new material, and practice creativity. I use creative writing to help solidify facts and definitions in the students' own words for long term memorization. I am happy to apply these tools to studying and homework in varioud subjects.
I also teach acting and writing! I teach monologue writing workshops, short story writing, playwrighting, and acting. All things that can be done online! I create fun homework assignments and projects that will build creativity and confidence.
Looking forward to working with you!
I enjoy seeing confidence grow in children. I love when students step out of their comfort zones and try something new. I am always learning from students!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to play a "getting to know you" game so we can get to know each other. After that, the most important thing for me to do is listen! I like to hear from the student and see how they are doing presently and what specifically they would like to work on. Then, we will set a realistic goal together, and go from there!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently in the process of applying for my Master's in Early Childhood Education. I also have experience as a nanny for the past seven years, and as a camp counselor.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I am happy to discuss pricing with each family and come up with something that works for everyone. My rate is typically $35 an hour.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Be open! Maybe you've never written before, or taken an acting class before, or created a character before...but in the comfort of your own home, now's the perfect time to try! My "classroom" is always 100% judgement free.
