I am one credit away from earning my MFA in Film at Stony Brook University, where I was an adjunct professor teaching film for two years. I approach the role of professor/teacher/tutor very seriously, adapting how I teach to the student(s), and ensuring there is two way communication. Additionally I want each student to feel supported so they can focus on learning.

There are many things that as I teacher you find satisfaction in your relationship with your students, but I would outline the things like influencing the future. As teachers, we transfer knowledge to students and the skills they need for future academics and life successes. As they gain more and more knowledge they begin to develop their self - esteem which is another crucial thing in the development of a young person. The last thing that really makes me feel great is when we reach that moment and seeing the look on the student face when the "brain light" goes on and you realize that they overcome the difficulty.
