I am a computer science major at UB, and I will be taking calculus 2 next semester. When it comes to math I think that instead of just memorizing formulas it's very important to teach how and why something works. I realized this after my time teaching computer programming at my high school job. I started as a sophomore and taught kids from 5th grade all the way to high school. After CodeAbility closed I went on to privately tutor some of the clients who were interested in continued instruction. All in all I have about 2 years of tutoring experience, as well as an extensive interest in math and the critical thinking that comes with it.
