I am a motivator who has a comprehensive command of the English language, its literature, and its many types of writing. Having taught both high school and college, I have extensive experience with every type of student, but I have had my greatest success with those who are gifted and talented. I did my Master's thesis on reading for standardized tests such as the SAT and ACT, and I tutored for years for one of the "big" companies where I was active in reviewing their study materials. My background gives me a solid edge when compared with others in this field. I was born to be a teacher and I love what I do....

I think outside the box to help students learn by helping them develop a growth mindset. Although my Bachelor's of Science degree is in Education of the Hearing Impaired K-12, I can tutor hearing and non hearing students starting from preschool. Students with a disability? No problem! I currently do home instruction for kids in the public schools who are not able to attend their district school for various reasons. I know American Sign Language, French and am learning Spanish.

I believe in the wholistic approach which will motivate your child to learn. It encompasses psychological social and emotional growth. This approach will instill curiosity and allow your child to lear naturally and creatively. My goal is to help each child learn to their potential. Each child is unique and I find it very rewarding to watch them achieve their goals and instill a love of learning.

I have taught my own children English, Math, social science, and study skills at home from elementary to middle school for eight years; I am currently teaching part time in a private learning program. It is my passion to teach children, guide them in their personal learning style, and see their big smile when they can excel !

I have been an English teacher for middle school for 3 years. I am also certified to teach all subjects from grades K-5, English to grades 6-12 and special education all grades.
