I am fairly young, but basically an old rebel soul. I certainly understand what it's like to struggle in academia; I don't care much for the obligatory nature of compulsory education. I'm more of a savant of the niche fields of study I actually care about, but I am a proficient researcher, eloquent speaker, and generally know what it is your "teacher types" want to hear and see. I have a B.Ed teaching degree from NWU in South Africa. I majored in English and Business Studies. I am fluent in English and Afrikaans. After my studies I worked at a school for students with learning disabilities; so I have experience with students with ADD, ADHD and students on the Autism/Asperger spectrum.
