I have a lot of experience teaching classes and tutoring individuals, since, already in the first grade, my teacher asked me to tutor other students who needed help.  Patience is a key point, and making the material interesting and exciting is another.  However, they are not the only keys to successful tutoring.  I have a deep and clear understanding of the material as well as ability to explain things clearly, step by step.  I often find that teachers and textbooks do not always break things down to the most basic level; they may inadvertently assume certain things, and this impli ... I love that I can help students in an online format. I think the impact online tutoring has on students is tremendous. As in all teaching, the best moments are when the student says," Ooooohhhh!" when the clouds of confusion clear away and the light breaks through. I just like the feeling of knowing that somewhere out there an anonymous person just figured something out and it hopefully stuck with them. I love the feeling when a student goes away from a session happy. I get to work with amazing students who really want to learn. I love interacting with them one-on-one, and I know when they leave, they have learned enough to be successful i ... View Profile

I love math and my enthusiasm is contagious.  After only one session, a student who hasknown only suffering in the face of math, finds hope when I teach them to square 99 in their head! When I'm with the more mathematically precocious, they are left with the confidence that they can not only matriculate to AP Calc BC but flourish to writing a 5's in both!  Because they do. I taught all levels of middle and high school math during my several years as a teacher.  I taught the Calc, Physics, and Robotics at Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart.  After leaving as a classroom teacher in 2012, it wasn't long before I returned a ... My service will be one of the most interpersonal services you can find on the market. I'm very young and enthusiastic when teaching and tutoring mathematics. Students find mathematics difficult because they are unable to comprehend the logic and have more questions than answers with key concepts. The service I'm offering will not only give the student the right answers but will show them how to explain their reasoning. Math can be fun, and my services will demonstrate ways in which math can be enjoyable. ... View Profile

My name is Chadin! I am a third year engineering student at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. I have been studying mathmatics for a quite some time so I am extremely understanding of the many burdens and difficulties a student may have. Fear not! From my experiances at school I believe I have picked up plenty of effective techniques to master concepts ranging from basic mathematics all the way to calculus III.  Math can be a very frustrating subject when concepts are unclear. My goal is to shape students into master problem solvers. Once you are a problem solver any type of math can be achieved. Everyone is different. That being sa ... View Profile

I meet with students using Google Meet, and will share my screen as I utilize Microsoft OneNote to write, draw, graph, etc. You do not need to have OneNote, however I HIGHLY recommend getting it. If you desire I will add you to a private notebook and you'll be able to refer to it later at any time. Using the smartphone version of the app you'll also be able to quickly take pictures of physical papers or textbooks so that we can both work with the same document live in the OneNote notebook. It's pretty cool. Please visit www.OneNote.com and download it for your preferred platform. Mobile, desktop computer, tablet, or chromebook. I ... View Profile

The Good Leaf is a learning company dedicated not only to strengthening curriculum understanding, but also to building better students. Last minute sessions to get prepared for a test are great, but it's much more effective to work with a tutor to build study skills, organizational and note taking techniques, and broaden critical and analytical thinking abilities. In focusing on these areas, tutoring has a lasting effect on the student's success, even after regular sessions have concluded. The same techniques and skills are imperative for success on standardized tests, which is another service offered by The Good Leaf. The Good Leaf is more ... View Profile
