I started tutoring Algebra over the phone when I was in junior high, and I kept tutoring math through high school. My first job after college was as a high school math teacher and learning center math tutor. I have since taught art and worked in education more broadly. I also am an education researcher and am writing about mathematical processes. I love helping others find that appreciation for their own way of thinking, their own way of learning, that makes the most sense for them. Then, by understaning math in their own terms, they get to enjoy the cool parts of math their way.

I recently graduated with my Master's in special education. I have worked in the school district I'm in for 25 years and the same school for 24 years.
