I have been a classroom teacher for 4.5 years, primarily with middle school, but I have taught students of all ages. I create a calm and engaging learning environment, incorporating humor and fun, so students feel confident in taking on a new challenge!

Greetings, I am a professional writer (journalism, Creighton University grant writing, nonprofit marketing, however most fun and fulfilling has been my current position as a paraprofessional for second grade at Fontenelle Elementary. I so enjoy working with kids and youth in literacy skills. My daughter had mild dyslexia and we worked hard together. She's now graduating from Grinnell college with a degree in biochemistry. Each child learns differently and at their own pace. Most importantly, all children have a capacity for learning, growth, curiosity and creativity. It's our job to tap into it.

I am a current high school student. I am very well versed on a number of school subjects including biology and english and reading comprehension. I love to help anyway I can.
