Basic Reading Tutoring

As a passionate special education teacher, I bring a deep understanding of how foundational reading skills shape a child’s academic success and confidence. I specialize in teaching literacy to students with diverse learning needs and firmly believe that strong reading skills are the cornerstone of learning across all subjects. I am particularly focused on early elementary literacy because basic reading instruction often fades out after third grade, leaving many students without the support they still need. With a patient, individualized approach, I create engaging, structured lessons that meet students where they are and help them build skills in phonemic awareness, decoding, fluency, and comprehension. My goal is not only to teach students how to read, but also to foster a lifelong love of reading.
