Gillian Tutoring
About
Current Ph.D. Candidate in Immunology at Duke University. I Tutor Chemistry (general, honors, AP/IB) Biochemistry, Biology (cellular, molecular, genetics, immunology), and related courses for high school (9th-12th) and undergraduates. I take a student-centered approach to tutoring. Upon our first session, I will ask you how you learn, and what is your learning style. From there we can discuss your goals for tutoring, whether you just want one session to brush up on a specific subject, or if you would like to work with me over the duration of your course or to meet a specific goal. From there, we can work together to create study habits and work on how to retain concepts and information to reach your learning goals. I will also help you with coursework and study for benchmarks and exams. If your goals are focused on writing a report, grant proposal, research paper, or science fair project, I can help with organizing a writing schedule, how to find sources, and how to cater your writing or presentation to your specific audience. I accept students ranging from high school (9th-12th) to undergraduate students. Some graduate student tutoring is available upon request for specific subjects.
