Cutting through the hype and hysteria surrounding the SAT and ACT, Dr. Al Benthall’s Prep Classes simplify each test in all subject areas, including READING / WRITING AND LANGUAGE and MATH for the SAT, as well as ENGLISH, MATH, READING, and SCIENCE for the ACT. In addition, our sessions cover a range of test-taking strategies that build unshakable confidence, including overcoming test anxiety, physical and psychological preparation, time management, strategic guessing, and dynamic study habits. I really enjoy working with students to help them prepare for the grammar, reading, and writing sections of both the ACT and SAT. I am very good at figuring out whether a students just needs to review a subject, work on time management, or learn how to efficiently navigate through a section. I strive to help my students feel confident on test day. I also enjoy helping students with both composition writing and essays about literature. I have a strong back ground in both. Students who come from marginalized socioeconomic backgrounds need dedicated, passionate educators. I teach Math, English, History, and the Science of Reading (Phonics).
