I am a certified teacher that has real classroom experience at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Not only can I help your child with the academic content, but also study skills and how to navigate the school system and expectations. I love teaching! Although I get to teach in a classroom everyday, tutoring is especially rewarding for me as I get to work one-on-one with a student for an extended period of time.

As an elementary educator of nearly twenty years, I have a experience with a variety of grades as well as lesson platforms and techniques, including virtual, hands-on, and in-person. I have taught grades 2-5 as a classroom teacher, and also interned with first grade.

I love helping students get past mental blocks and gain confidence in math and science skills. I find I can do this by connecting the student with the concept through the student's other interests and subjects where the student already feels confident.

I have tutored since my sophomore year of high school, mostly in math from algebra I onwards, and in Latin, Chemistry and in American History. Received a perfect score on each subject test for each of those first three. 2340 on the old SAT, breakdown of reading/math/writing is: 750/800/790. Biomedical Eng. major at Duke University, and minors in Economics and Chemistry.
