Algebra 1/Basic Math Tutoring
About
I'm currently a junior in high school and have received consecutive A's in my math scores and finals. I'm always the first person someone in my class comes to if they are having a question or difficulty understanding our unit of study. I've won the most improved student in math and been helping my peers in math for about 3 years.
I love getting to learn math, but more importantly, I love getting to help people with math. I love getting to see that moment on their faces when it finally clicks in for them. Math can be difficult and stressful at times, but getting a new way to view the equation is sometimes the key.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
If it is the first meeting, I'll start off with about 10-15 minutes getting to know them, then move on to a recent test or assessment in their current math class to see if and what may have been some trouble for them. We then would work out the problems they missed and compare the work and answers.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As I've previously said, I'm a student myself, so I'm learning as well. My favorite subject in math is Algebra 1 and the basic math, because, without a good foundation, it's so much harder to get a good steady learning career.
