Over the past five years, I have worked as a licensed elementary teacher in diverse roles. I had two years in my own classroom, followed by three years in specialist roles. Throughout this time, I have especially enjoyed opportunities to tutor both students who need some reinforcement of concepts, as well as those looking for a challenge. I am comfortable teaching all subjects K-8, and have experience with public, private, and homeschool education. Although my specialty is science, I come from an English background. I have always been passionate about literature. I am a current high school teacher with an EdM from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and both an MA and a BA in English from Middlebury College. I am certified in Language Arts education and have taught students ranging from seventh to twelfth grade. Beyond grade-level coursework, I have also taught classes in Creative Writing, Theater Arts, Ethics, and Media Studies.
