Lori Winn

Hello,

My name is Lori Winn. I have been teaching, tutoring and training students for 30 years. I am dedicated to nurturing a passion for learning in each of my students. I am located in the Maple Grove/Brooklyn Park area.

I specialize in personalized tutoring services across diverse subjects with a focus in Reading, and Writing as well as Etiquette, Manners and Life Skills. I provide customized and focused attention to ensure each student achieves their academic goals.

I incorporate brain training through physical activities. I teach reading, writing, spelling and handwriting by using phonics in the style of Orton Gillingham, to assist those with potential learning challenges.

I also incorporate visualizing and verbalizing curriculum to develop comprehension and creative thought patterns.

Be sure to ask me about how you can gather your child and a small group of his/her friends to experience an Etiquette Luncheon. I teach etiquette, manners and life skills.

Whether supporting students who attend public, private or homeschool education, my mission is to build confidence, develop skills and inspire excitement in learning with every child I work with.

For tutoring, I meet at either the Maple Grove or Brooklyn Park Library in one of the study rooms or my home in that same area.

I will do an initial assessment on your child to see where best to begin in a tutoring program. If you are interested, please text me so we can schedule a 15 minute phone consultation to learn more about the goals you have for your child.

My rate for private tutoring is $50 per 50 minute session. Different rates apply for Etiquette.
