Hi. I’m Colin. I am currently studying Mathematics and Physics at the University of St Thomas (with minors in Mechanical Engineering and Theology). Growing up, I always helped my siblings out with STEM related homework, so I think I would be a great fit to tutor, especially in math.

My name is Mohammed Mateen, and I have over 6 years of teaching experience. I have had the privilege of teaching and mentoring around 350 10th-grade students, focusing primarily on Mathematics and Science over a span of 3 years. Following that, I dedicated my time to teaching Mathematics and Physics to 11th and 12th-grade students, helping them grasp challenging concepts. I love to teach. As I progressed through my school I always had a style of having my notes organized in a way others could understand when I teach them. I am able to remember concepts well when someone emphatically and respectfully makes me think about the whys and help me figure things out. That’s how I help my friends aswell since it works well.

As a current student at the U of M, a rising junior studying mechanical engineering, I am familiar with most math and sciences topics and can also teach myself a variety of subjects to help others learn. I haven't formally tutored anybody, but I have helped friends with classes for a while now even with subjects I have no familiarity in. I have a practice problem approach to learning and have a good understanding in math and science courses. My goal as a tutor is not only to help you learn and succeed in your schooling but also to grow my own knowledge database and refresh my knowledge on old subjects.

I'm a current junior civil engineering major at the university of Minnesota-Twin Cities. I've passed 4 levels of calculus, along with physics, chem and other stem classes. Happy to help any students with their coursework, I know how difficult some topics can be, especially without good resources to help. I'd love to be a resource to anyone in that situation.
