About
As a retired middle school Math Educator, I have many years of experience in the classroom and understand best practice. In addition, I have also been tutoring students for over 20 years. I understand the need for custom-designed lessons to not only keep a student interested, but also to fit a student's individual learning style.
Doing this allows me to establish rapport with all students I might tutor. In addition, I also infuse a bit of humor into lessons, to help students be more comfortable which is critical to a positive learning environment.
There is nothing more fulfilling than seeing that spark of accomplishment when a student gains understanding of a previously unknown or confusing concept.
Finally, students know that I care about their progress and celebrate their accomplishments.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree from Oakland University. Also, I have 12 years experience teaching middle school math at Rochester Community Schools.
Together with my teaching experience, I also have extensive math tutoring experience with 2nd grade-8th grade.
