I am a student in Highschool, who is studying college courses 3 grades above. My passion as tutor is to teach kids to overcome their struggles while doing mathematics. I strive to bring a fun approach to the subject while ensuring that the student also learns and understands the topic.I teach students from grades 1-8 who need extra help in math. A typical lesson plan would consist of figuring out the students strengths and weaknesses, then building on those weaknesses so that they eventually master the topics. The student can either provide topics that they want to learn, or I can provide a lesson plan to help them succeed in their grade leve

I have 3 years of experience with Japanese, 6 years of learning Spanish culture and language, 14 years of experience with Art/Language studies, and schooled experience with Science, Algebra/Calculus, HTML-5, Scratch, Marketing and Biology. Throughout my years of Elementary and High school, I attempted to challenge myself by taking high-level courses to excel in applying for colleges. However, like many others, I struggled severely. STEM classes can be a harsh challenge, and even classes that should be enjoyable and fun like Band and Drama can become a struggle

I enjoy helping kids learn math. I've been homeschooling my daughter from Pre-K to now she's in 1st grade but doing 2nd grade math and English. I feel like it's a good fit to open it up to helping other kids succeed. I am interested in helping Pre-K through 5th grade students with math, reading, English, maps, states, cutting/gluing, letter and sound recognition, shape recognition.
