I look forward to working with students who are motivated and ready to learn. I have a long list of experiences working with many types of students:
-I have tutored one student for the GED
-Experience in the classroom with grades prek-5
-Summer camp experience ages 3-15
-Experience working with students with special needs
-Vast understanding and knowledge of American History
I love working with elementary students and seeing them mature and grow over time. Its an amazing thing.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I personally would like to get to know the student, what their strengths are and where they could use that extra support.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a bachelors degree in early childhood education from Western Michigan University. I also have prior experience in journalism writing for the Western Herald, WMU's school paper, and taking several journalism classes.
I did my student teaching in a kindergarten classroom and for the past sememester I have been substitute teaching in grades K-5.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
It truly depends, but I charge no more than $45 an hour, and as low as $25 an hour. Please understand that I prepare before each lesson and work thoroughly to find the correct route and style based on your learning needs.
How did you get started teaching?
I worked in a summer camp for 2 summers and decided to change my major the summer going into my junior year.
What types of students have you worked with?
In the classroom, I have mainly worked with Pre-k through 5th grade. I also have experience tutoring adult students with autism.

Working with my kindergartners in my student teaching classroom last fall.
