My names Sara, I was born and raised in Italy and was taught English by my mom who tutored students my whole life so I got to learn the easiest and most efficient way to get a hang on both languages. I’m currently a college student going for my nursing degree but have a certificate in English and Professional Writing after writing my dissertation on the benefits of being bilingual in a growing society. I believe that being a current student allows me to relate to my tutees and use my own experiences to guide and improve my teaching. Something my best teachers have done for me is to show me how to enjoy a challenging subject. As a tutor, I hope to accomplish the same for my tutees. Even if something is challenging, it can still be enjoyable, fun even. Learning to enjoy what is hard is just as important as learning the material itself.

I have been a Special Education teacher for 20 years working with the K-4 population. I am trained in multiple interventions that allow me to use an assortment of skills, strategies and teaching styles to meet the diverse needs of the student population. I work hard to make learning fun and accessible for all, and pride myself on building strong relationships with my students and their families.

I love teaching and it has been my passion over the years. My classmates would often call me out for tutoring jobs and this has been one of my part time jobs during may college years I am a Civil Engineer and I love teaching students with Math subjects, I use to teach Algebra and Trigonometry. I can help them ace their examinations and teach them to love mathematics.
