Julia is a recent graduate of Wheaton College Massachusetts and holds a Bachelors degree in Creative Writing and Literature, as well as a minor in history. She wrote a short fiction book manuscript in completion of her honors thesis, which earned her departmental honors upon graduation.

I've been an elementary school teacher for the past 22 years. A majority of my time teaching has been in K-2. I have lots of experiences working with students of all needs. I believe making connections and having fun play an important role in a child's learning. I love teaching. I love the moments when a struggling student finally figures something out. I love teaching students that there are ways to have fun and learn.

I am currently a resident. I have 10 year experience tutoring math, english, and test prep for the MCAT.

I taught English 15 years at Noble and Greenough school, mostly to juniors and seniors. I developed an approach to writing designed to address students' dislike of writing as meaningless hoop-jumping; instead, i think the creative apaect of all writing, even essays on literature, is essential. Finally, my hope is that every student recognizes the importance of his or her voice as unique, and that it deserves to be refelcted in writing.
