I believe that being a current student allows me to relate to my tutees and use my own experiences to guide and improve my teaching. Something my best teachers have done for me is to show me how to enjoy a challenging subject. As a tutor, I hope to accomplish the same for my tutees. Even if something is challenging, it can still be enjoyable, fun even. Learning to enjoy what is hard is just as important as learning the material itself.

I have been in education for 14 years. As I was obtaining by bachelors degree, I worked as a kindergarten paraprofessional. I was in that position for 5 years. Once I received my teaching license, I worked as a first grade teacher. I moved to second grade in 2019 and have been a second teacher for the last 6 years.
