As a current college student with 4+ years of tutoring experience, all K-12 material is still quite relevant and fresh in my mind. I have worked with a variety of ages, from kindergarten all the way to seniors in high school. I get to know each student individually as well as get to know their personal goals. I will provide quick, concise responses for those in a hurry, and slow, methodic teaching for those looking to understand the material on a deeper level. Through the six years I studied architecture in college to the multiple years of fulltime work, I've come to learn numerous tools and technologies that assist in design and also workflows. Programs like Photoshop, Indesign, Sketchup, AutoCad, Rhino, and Revit were all used. However, one of the issues I realized was that many classes don't teach past the basics of these programs or technologies. Sometimes these aren't even taught at all. For more than 20 years I have helped students tap into the joy of learning! I was a Boston Public Schools History teacher for 12 years, taught English for 2 years, and served as an SAT prep coach. Classes were always engaging through the use of videos, pictures, role playing, debates, and whatever theatrics I could muster up each day!
