I am currently a Robertson Scholar and an Alice M. Baldwin scholar at Duke University. I take my academics very seriously and have been awarded with admission to the Duke University Dean’s List for Academic Excellence. I have lots of experience with many academic subjects as well as college essay writing, SAT/ACT test prep, and resume creation.
I love discovering how different people learn and adjusting my tutoring style to best serve each individual!
I love seeing the progress made by my students and getting feedback that shows the positive impact the tutoring had in their academic and professional lives. Watching a student fully understand a new concept and prove that they are able to do it without assistance is incredibly satisfying to me, because it shows that the student and I have worked together to find a method of learning that works best for them.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student, I like to take a bit of time to fully understand their learning style and how I can help them find strategies that work best for them. All students have a unique way of learning that gives them the best outcome, so finding that method for success for each student, is where I like to start. From there, listening to what the student already knows is important to me, because efficiency is key when it comes to test prep and/or essay writing. Helping the student to learn efficiently will save them a lot of time and allow them to learn more than they thought possible.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently a student at Duke University and attended Princeton Day School (a private high school nearby Princeton University) and achieved high standardized test scores, grades, and essay writing proficiency.
As someone who is still a student, I too am constantly studying, writing essays, and learning new ways to become better each and every day. This makes me an exceptional tutor because it means that the study skills and writing tools I bring to my students are fresh and and regularly used in my own work.

While my baseline price is $20/hour, I am flexible with my pricing system for lessons and am willing to work with each student/family based on their needs. Please contact me for details.
