I hold a degree in Architecture. I worked as a teacher in Mexico for 10 years at a Catholic school (1978–1988). Subsequently, I moved to the United States and taught ESL and Duo-Language programs in the Lake County School District for 27 years. I retired in 2016 after teaching at both the elementary and secondary levels. My extensive teaching experience led me to accept a position in the Adult Education Department at the College of Lake County, where I helped students obtain their high school diploma (HSD/GED).
