What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First Step: Understand the course, what are we learning?
Second Step: Identify weak point, what does the student specifically struggle with, economic history, primary sources, etc.
Third Step: Build a plan to address that key weakness
Fourth Step: Have fun, I try to integrate a fun/funny approach into my lessons, and once we know what we're trying to address, I then try to make history exciting.
