I am a certified elementary education teacher and have been teaching 2nd grade for 7 years, now, and am very thankful for having the experience with this age group! I am LETRS trained, obtained my bachelor's at Southern Illinois University, and my master's degree at Troy University. I love seeing students grow in their ability to read, reason, think critically, and write their ideas clearly. Hey there! My name is Rayana Tomblin, and I'm a dual certified educator. I am certified in elementary education as well as special education. I started teaching in January 2021, and I have experience teaching K-5 general education students as well as students with mild to moderate disabilities. My favorite subject to teach is math. I love making it enjoyable, and most of all, I love for it to make sense to students. I also love to teach reading strategies to increase fluency and comprehension.

I’m a current student at Columbus High School (ranked #83 in the nation), with academic honors such as the NHS, Beta Club, and AP Capstone Program, and a GPA of 4.57 (4.00 unweighted). I have always excelled in my courses (never finishing a year with a grade lower than a 93), and would love to help others excel as well! :)
